Inception

Synopsis

Cobb is offered a chance to regain his old life in exchange for a task considered impossible: "inception," the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious. Cobb assembles a team including dream architect Ariadne (Ellen Page), forger Eames (Tom Hardy), chemist Yusuf (Dileep Rao), and his regular partner Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Their target is Robert Fischer (Cillian Murphy), heir to a business empire, and the team must plant the idea of breaking up his father's company. The challenge involves creating a dream within a dream within a dream - three levels deep - while battling projections of Fischer's militarized subconscious and Cobb's own personal demons, manifested as his deceased wife Mal (Marion Cotillard).
